For the love of LEGO

January 13, 2016

If there is one thing that my three year old daughter does passionately, it has to be playing Lego. If there is a Lego club in Kenya then she definitely needs to be a member. Seriously. The level of concentration that she exhibits when exploring different ways to stack the blocks is simply beautiful to watch. For that reason, I got her her second Lego set, one that will help her in number recognition (she can count 1-20 but can only recognize 1-5). What a better way to learn than to have fun doing it? Her first set was the one that comes with a biker, a police man and a bank and she has built so many variations of the same thing it was only fair we upgrade.

This was day two of using the new Lego set, and while I was trying to recreate what was on the box, she opted to do come up with her own designs. We were however not at it for too long as this was done this morning before work and school as we were waiting for daddy to get ready.

If you are not exploring the different Lego sets already then you don’t know what you are missing out on. It is so much fun even for the adults and whats more, there are so many different types whenever you get bored with one set you can always buy another. Just be prepared to have your wallet dented, but all for a good cause.

Happy hump day!

Joy.

True. But actually they go till like 50k!
Also note that they have age brackets and within each bracket they vary in complexity. The shop attendant should help in explaining this.
Lego is indeed a good companion, I bought TWO in December but I know it’s money well spent.

Creativity from such a young age is so inspiring and goes to show why we need the 8-4-4 education system changed.
Btw you both have such similar jaw-lines (read cheeks and lips)
