Strollers & Stilettos
I have something for you guys and I promise you will definitely be thanking me later. Especially the moms out there who have needy young ones (aren’t all kids needy, and their daddies too ?), and as such, never get time to hang out. Getting as much as an hour to oneself without feeling guilty about abandoning the litu ones is next to impossible. Ideally, this should be a Monday post as that’s the only day I talk about motherhood. However, allow me to make an exception this once. I came across this young lady Mwende Mbae, a Kenyan mommy blogger/vlogger on her YouTube channel itsamamazworld. She talks about her motherhood journey and I love it because it is so refreshingly honest. The initial stories are heart breaking so grab a box of tissues before heading there. She has been an avid reader of this blog and she reached out to me to talk about an event she’s running this Sunday. You guys, I think the new generation of young people is so talented. At 26, I was probably just painting the town red besides doing my 8-5 (shame!). Inspired by her experiences as a mother, and the friendships she made along the way, Mwende took to creating a space where moms can kick back, relax, network, chit chat as they enjoy beautiful music, fun&games as well as get amazing tips and tricks on easing the motherhood experience.
Strollers & Stilettos is happening this coming Sunday, 28th February at the Botanical Gardens from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. Food&drinks will be on sale, vendors will be showcasing their products and services. There will be a play area for the kids so consider it your LO’s day out too!
If you are looking for a Sunday afternoon plan with the kids, this is where you need to be.
Tickets are on sale on www.ticketsasa.com at KES 500.
Come and let’s bond. Hoping to see you all there!
As always, don’t forget to subscribe to the blog!
