50 Days of Kenyan Kids Fashion- Day 10
Life begins at night.
If you have any doubt about this, ask any parent. The countless emails, the instructions issued to the subordinates, the presentations that had to be put together in minutes, the insights that had to be offered to clients….it does not matter how hectic one’s 8-5 was. Because when you step your foot in the house at 6pm or 7pm or even 8pm, life begins. Somewhat you have to find energy to lift the toddlers on your shoulders and play “horsie horsie”, grab a stash of blocks and build the dog a house because the one you constructed the previous day was ran over by a train and most importantly, go through assignments together and sit at the dining table for what always seems like eternity listening to them go on and on about school. And life.

So since life begins at night, despite all the fatigue, we might as well embrace it for all the warmth, joy and laughter it brings and while we are at it, dress the part for bedtime. Because, what if your dreams can only be as colorful or enchanting as what you put on when you go to bed? What happens then if your outfit speaks boredom in all possible languages?
I am not one to cramp people’s styles so hang on to that brown stocking that you have converted to a head wrap, if that’s what sends you to cloud nine. Or the oversize T-shirt with your company’s logo. That’s fine, do you. But I am here for the kids. The unspoken for. I am here to ensure you dress them well, as much as you can, of course while living within your means.
How about we spice up the night outfits for our toddlers a little bit? My latest find, Once Upon A Child has you covered, yet again. The online store has a diversified offering for kids pajamas, from floral and Disney themed shirt and trouser sets, to night dresses for kids as young as a year old, all at such friendly prices.
I hope you love the pictures as much as we do and that you will get inspired to dress your little ones up even as they go to sleep.

‘Build the dog a house because the one you constructed the previous day was ran over by the train’ ??.. surely life begins at night.
The things our kids have us go through 🙂
I know right? I don’t understand why babies have perfectly shaped thick eyebrows.
Me neither 🙂
I wish I could trade places with her!
