Hardly ever do I wear dresses unless going to church or attending special occasions like mummy’s friends’ weddings that I’m always more than happy to attend (clean pass for cake!). This for the simple reason that being the tom boy that I am (daddy says I am a boy gone wrong haha), it’s always easier to run around and get mischievous in anything but dresses.
The past Saturday fell under the special occasions’ bracket as we were doing a family photo shoot which had me dress up in this hot number for the formal session. I was a bit under the weather though, having gone down with a cold the previous night but I managed to brave the storm.
The dress has been hanging pretty in my closet for about two months since my grandma sent it over, and I was more than happy to pull it out. I fell in love with the print as I felt it brought some life into my otherwise dull state, while the touch of hot pink made the outfit look less serious. Purely made of cotton, the dress is just perfect for my sensitive skin. I should also add that the folks at Youngland were bright enough to add a small layer of mesh which gives it a full look. I paired it with a floral headpiece that my friends from House Of Tych sent over a while ago. The shoes, purchased from Biashara Street earlier on in the year for a school concert, came in handy.
I hope you enjoy the photos.
